From Burnout and Overwhelmed to Breakthrough

Burnout and Overwhelmed

Burnout and Overwhelmed are not for me!

Starting a business from scratch is an exciting idea, until it’s not. When we decided to take our long time hobby and turn it into a full-time coaching business, it felt like we were stepping into a dream. We officially launched our new LLC with energy, purpose, and a fresh website. But it didn’t take long before burnout and overwhelmed crept in.

At that moment, we realized something important: burnout and overwhelmed aren’t just for business owners.

In fact, they’re everywhere.

In corporate boardrooms, on church staff teams, in classrooms, and even at home, people are constantly juggling too many responsibilities, chasing too many ideas, and trying to stay on top of way too many resources. And most of them, just like us, don’t have systems in place to keep everything from collapsing.

We started to see that the same challenges we were facing in launching a coaching business, decision fatigue, resource overload, comparison stress, lack of focus were the exact same struggles our ideal clients were facing in their leadership and personal lives. The difference? They weren’t trying to start an LLC, but they were absolutely trying to survive—and maybe even thrive—through burnout and overwhelmed.

Too Many Options, Not Enough Clarity

In the first 30 days of starting our business, we found ourselves drowning in “helpful” suggestions:

  • “You need a CRM system.”
  • “You should automate your emails.”
  • “No one will take you seriously without a podcast.”
  • “You can’t grow unless you’re on TikTok.”

Every suggestion sounded right. Every strategy seemed smart. Every course looked like the missing link. But following all of them? Consequently, that nearly broke us.

We were burning through time, money, and our own motivation trying to keep up with all the things we “should” be doing.

That’s when we had to pause and ask a crucial question:

What systems do we actually need?

That single question became the lifeline for our business—and it’s the same question we now help our clients ask when they’re stuck in burnout and overwhelmed.

Your Life Isn’t a Startup—But It Needs a Strategy

You may not be starting an LLC, but if you’re feeling stretched too thin, burdened by endless responsibilities, or constantly putting out fires, you’re dealing with the same emotional toll that nearly took our business out before it even began.

  • Endless meetings? We’ve felt that.
  • Never-ending notifications? Been there.
  • Trying to be everything to everyone? Yep.

It’s all connected to burnout and overwhelmed. Just like us, you need a better system.

Here’s what we’ve learned, both from building our business and helping our clients: strategy always beats scrambling.

Why Systems Are the Real Secret to Sanity

Before systems, our days were reactive.

Now, we follow the exact structure we teach in our ABC Growth Sprints. We used those same systems to stabilize our business, and we guide our clients through them to stabilize their lives.

The key isn’t to do more, it’s to do what matters most. And systems make that possible.

To illustrate, we started small

  • Weekly planning using our own 30-Day Leadership Planner.
  • Blocking work time based on energy, not urgency.
  • Creating filters for which ideas to act on and which to shelf.

Next, we went deeper:

  • We built a decision matrix to avoid “shiny object syndrome.”
  • We scheduled personal reflection sessions to stay grounded.
  • We installed automation tools that saved hours per week.

You can do the same, no matter what your role is. Because burnout and overwhelmed don’t care if you’re a CEO, a church leader, a teacher, or an overwhelmed parent. But systems? They care. And they work.

Systems Create Clarity—and Clarity Creates Breakthrough

When you’re overwhelmed, it’s not just because life is busy—it’s because your brain is trying to solve 100 problems at once without a system for which one matters first.

In our early business days, we constantly felt behind. Every new tool, new platform, or new coach felt like something we had to chase. But when we finally sat down and mapped out the systems we needed, one at a time, the fog started to clear.

That’s what our coaching is built to help you do: not to chase every leadership trend or implement every life hack, but to slow down, assess your real challenges, and build systems that actually help you breathe again.

You don’t need another podcast.

You need peace.

You don’t need another leadership book right now.

You need a system to apply the last five you’ve already read.

And that’s what we help you do.

Burnout and Overwhelmed Aren’t Permanent

One of the biggest lies we tell ourselves is, “This is just how life is.” But it’s not. And deep down, we all know it.

What you’re feeling right now, the constant juggling, the short temper, the sleepless nights doesn’t have to be your normal. And if you’ve been trying to lead others while running on empty, it’s time to make a change.

You can regain control.

You can stop the cycle.

And you can do it faster than you think, if you’re willing to build the right systems.

That’s why we created our ABC Growth Sprints: practical, short-term coaching tools that help you solve one leadership pain point at a time. Whether you’re struggling with prioritizing your time, building habits, or eliminating distractions, there’s a sprint for that.

We also offer personalized Coaching Sessions that help you create long-term systems to manage your energy, lead with confidence, and grow with purpose. These are the same systems that saved our startup, and they’ve helped dozens of overwhelmed leaders reclaim margin and meaning in their lives.

What Victory Looks Like: For You and For Us

For us, victory meant finally seeing our business stabilize. It meant shifting from reactive chaos to proactive clarity. It meant getting back to why we started in the first place: to help leaders live and lead without burnout and overwhelm.

For you, victory might look like:

  • Getting home from work without feeling defeated.
  • Leading your team without resentment.
  • Actually enjoying your weekend again.

Victory is different for each person. But how you reach it? That’s often the same:

Slow down.

Build a system.

Stick with it.

You don’t have to keep spinning.

You don’t have to chase every idea.

You don’t have to live in burnout and overwhelmed anymore.

We didn’t.

And you don’t have to either.
